Anker has launched the USB-C Hub (6-in-1, For Handheld Game Console) at Amazon in the US. The accessory has been designed to work with devices like the Steam Deck or the ASUS ROG Ally as a docking station.
The USB-C Hub connects to your handheld console via a built-in 220 mm (~8.7-inch) right-angled USB-C cable, and a 100W PD-IN port allows for a 90W output. There is a 4K@60Hz HDMI output, which Anker claims will deliver “stunning resolution”. Other ports include Gigabit Ethernet, 5 Gbps USB-C, 5Gbps USB-A and a second USB-A port for peripherals like a mouse or keyboard. It is worth noting that you cannot mirror the screen via the USB-C data port. Alongside the Steam Deck and the ASUS ROG Ally, the accessory is compatible with the Lenovo Legion Go and iPad models like the iPad Pro 12.9-inch, which feature a USB-C port. Anker notes that the dock will not work with the AYANEO or Nintendo Switch consoles.
The dock’s stand has a 115° angle, which the company suggests is an ergonomic position when gaming. The accessory has a dark grey aluminum alloy outer, measuring 5.20 x 2.95 x 1.08 inches (~132 x 74.85 x 27.44 mm). You can now buy the Anker USB-C Hub (6-in-1, For Handheld Game Console) in the US at Amazon for $45.99. It remains to be seen when the company will offer the accessory at its online store or in other regions like Europe.
