The Anker Prime Charger (200W, 6 Ports, GaN) is now available in the US. An image of the accessory and a supporting document appeared in May. The desktop charging solution offers a range of ports to power devices simultaneously.
The Prime Charger has four USB-C ports, each with a maximum of 100W power, maintained even when two are used simultaneously. Anker suggests this output would charge a pair of MacBook Pro 14 laptops to 50% in 28 minutes. Using all four USB-C ports drops the outputs to 65W, 65W, 45W and 25W. The remaining two ports are USB-A, offering up to 22.5W power, reduced to 12W when both are used. MultiProtect and ActiveShield 3.0 technology ensure the accessory operates safely, and the device comes with a 24-month warranty.
The charging station has a dark silver exterior and measures 4.4 × 3.0 × 1.4 in (112 × 76 × 35 mm). Reddit user u/joshuadwx notes that the product is less powerful than the older Anker Prime 240W GaN Desktop Charger (4 Ports) despite being larger. You can now buy the Anker Prime Charger (200W, 6 Ports, GaN) at Amazon US for $79.99. The product is also listed at the retailer in countries like the UK and Spain, though it is currently out of stock, and the price is not provided.
