IKEA has recently released several new charging products. RUNDHULT is a USB-C to USB-C cable offered in countries such as Europe and the US. Designed to charge a laptop or tablet, the braided cable is 4’11” (~1.5m) long and supports up to 100W power. The product is available in two colorways, dark gray and black/white, retailing for $9.99/€7.99/99 SEK.
There are two more USB-C cables for customers in EU countries like the Netherlands, Italy and Germany. These are the LILLHULT USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to Lightning. Each 1.5m (~4’11”) long, the braided cables come in green, light gray and orange/pink. Like the RUNDHULT, LILLHULT can handle data transfers at up to 480 Mbps, though the maximum supported power is likely under 100W based on the lower price; the LILLHULT USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to Lightning cost €5.99 and €9.99, respectively. The LILLHULT and RUNDHULT cables are compatible with the SJOSS 30W 1-port USB-C charger, launched earlier this year.
Finally, IKEA has unveiled the SKOTAT extension cable for the EU market. The accessory offers three 250V 2,500W max AC ports and two USB-C ports to charge a phone or tablet. When one USB-C is used, the output is 45W, reducing to 22W power when you charge two devices simultaneously. Plus, the USB-C ports support various charging protocols such as PD 3.0, QC4+ and PPS. With a triangular wedge design, the product is green, has a 1.8m (~5’ 11”) long cable and can be wall-mounted thanks to cutouts at the rear. You can buy the IKEA SKOTAT extension cable for €24.99. It remains to be seen whether or when the new LILLHULT and SKOTAT products could arrive in more countries.
