IKEA SJÖSS 30W and 45W new cheaper USB-C chargers launch
IKEA has launched two new accessories: the SJÖSS 30W 1-port USB charger and the SJÖSS 45W 2-port USB charger. The compact devices have been designed to be portable, allowing you to charge your smartphone or laptop via USB-C while on the go. You can use the 45W model to simultaneously charge two devices, with the power split to 22W at each output.
The IKEA SJÖSS chargers support PD 3.0 fast charging and Quick Charge (QC4+). Plus, compatibility with Programmable Power Supply (PPS) technology helps reduce conversion loss during charging. Also included with the USB-C charging plugs is built-in protection against issues like short circuits and overheating. The accessories come with colored stickers, which IKEA suggests can be used to personalize the gadgets. With a white plastic casing, the one-port charger weighs around 80g (~3oz), while the two-port variant weighs about 130g (~4oz). It is worth noting that the chargers do not come with cables.
You can now buy the IKEA SJÖSS 30W 1-port USB charger for $7.99 in the US, €6.99 in the Netherlands, €5.99 in France, €5.95 in Italy and 99 SEK in Sweden. The IKEA SJÖSS 45W 2-port USB charger retails for $14.99 in the US, €12.99 in the Netherlands and Spain, €9.99 in France and 179 SEK in Sweden. It is unclear when these products will launch in the UK.
