Anker 621 Power Bank (Built-In Lightning Connector, 12W) now available
The Anker 621 Power Bank (Built-In Lightning Connector, 12W) has launched in the US and the UK. The gadget has been designed to make charging Apple devices easier, removing the need for a separate charging cable.
The 621 Power Bank can provide 12W fast charging to an iPhone, iPad or iPod. The MFi Certified gadget has a 5,000 mAh capacity battery, providing 20 hours of extra video playtime for an iPhone 14 Pro Max. Anker suggests that this makes the gadget an ideal travel companion. ActiveShield technology intelligently monitors the temperature of the device to prevent overheating. Plus, integrated LEDs indicate the battery level. Anker describes the device as pocket-sized, with the ability to fold away the lighting connector to make it even easier to transport; the power bank measures 5.1 x 3.9 x 1.2-in (~130 x 99 x 30 mm) and weighs 3.4 oz (~96 g).
The gadget comes with a 1.9 ft (~60 cm) USB-A to USB-C cable to recharge the device. The powerbank is currently available in black, with blue, green, pink, purple and white versions to be released shortly. You can now buy the Anker 621 Power Bank (Built-In Lightning Connector, 12W) in the US for US$31.99 and in the UK for £35.99. Customers in the UK can currently get 17% off the RRP at Amazon and buy the new product for £29.99. It is unclear when the gadget will arrive in the EU.
