Lenovo's new Type-C 12-in-1 Docking Station will soon crowdfund
The Lenovo Type-C 12-in-1 Docking Station has been revealed in China and will shortly crowdfund. The twelve ports include two 4K HDMI interfaces which can be used to connect monitors. The dock also features a DisplayPort, allowing you to connect up to three displays simultaneously; you can choose between extending or mirroring the host device on the connected screens.
The Type-C 12-in-1 Docking station provides 100W pass-through charging to a host device via a 15 cm (~5.9-in) integrated USB-C cable. The device has two USB 3.2 ports with a 10 Gbps bandwidth and two USB 2.0 interfaces, which you can use to connect peripherals. Other ports include Gigabit Ethernet, a 3.5 mm headphone jack and SD and micro SD card slots. The Lenovo dock measures 140 x 56 x 16.8 mm (~5.5 x 2.2 x 0.7-in) and has a silver finish with ridged detail.
You can get the Lenovo Type-C 12-in-1 Docking Station when you pledge 269 yuan (~US$37) to the crowdfunding campaign in China. When the device goes on general sale in the country remains unknown. It is also unclear whether or when the company plans to launch the gadget in other markets, such as North America or Europe.
