Nothing has let it be known that it now has less than a month until its second-generation flagship Android smartphone is revealed in full. In the meantime, the OEM's CEO, Carl Pei, has showcased an accessory that might either come in the box with or be sold alongside a new Phone (2). It underpins the brand's emerging 'transparent minimalist' design language and also effectively confirms USB type-C support in its upcoming mobile device.

Nothing is currently setting the stage for the launch of a Phone (2) that might represent a substantial departure from its predecessor with a vastly upgraded processor as well as an update for its Glyph lighting system. Now, as the company's CEO suggests, it might improve in terms of unboxing experience as well.

The Phone (1) shipped with a type-C cable of a practically generic appearance when compared to that of the device's rear panel. Its successor, on the other hand, may be joined on stage by a follow-up accessory that makes more of an effort with an elegantly exposed metallic charging connector. It is displayed in a new transparent housing that also shows the Nothing logo off quite nicely.

The rest of the cable has a conventional white finish, however. Nevertheless, fans of the nascent tech brand may find the charging necessity a welcome arrival as part of their Phone (2) original packaging - hopefully, its inclusion will not be too much to expect in 2023.
