Beats Studio Buds Plus debuts with hardware upgrades and optional transparent design
Apple has introduced the successor to the Beats Studio Buds. As expected, the earbuds have arrived as the Beats Studio Buds Plus and in an optional transparent housing. However, it seems that Apple has made only minor changes to the design that it already offers in the Beats Studio Buds. Specifically, the Studio Buds Plus features three new vents that are designed to relieve pressure and improve audio precision. Other design changes appear absent, which also applies to its charging case.
Still, Apple asserts that the new earbuds will last up to 9 hours on a single charge, 1 hour longer than its predecessor. Moreover, it claims that the new earbuds have 3x larger microphones compared to those found in the Studio Buds, as well as 2x improved transparency and 1.6x better ANC. The earbuds retain touch controls too, along with Apple's '3D Audio' virtual surround sound technology.
Moreover, the Studio Buds Plus is compatible with the existing Android app, unlike Apple's branded earbuds. The Beats Studio Buds Plus is available for €199.95 in Europe and US$169.99. At launch, Beats offers the earbuds in Black/Gold, Ivory and Transparent finishes. While the earbuds are already orderable in the US, there is no confirmation when they will be available in the Eurozone.
