Intel Processor N100 mini-PCs start arriving in ultra-compact housings

The likes of Topton have started offering 72 x 72 x 45 mm mini-PCs based on the Intel Processor N100. Starting at US$163, the Topton M6S also has plenty of connectivity and upgradeable storage courtesy of an M.2 2242 slot.

Various manufacturers have started selling a new Intel Alder Lake-N series mini-PC, seemingly the smallest released to date. Sold under names like Topton M6S and ZX01 Plus, the mini-PC measures 72 x 72 x 45 mm, weighs 150 g relies on the Processor N100, a quad-core part with a 6 W TDP and an iGPU with 24 Execution Units (EUs). For reference, the mini-PC features the following ports:

  • 1x 3.5 mm jack
  • 1x Gigabit Ethernet
  • 2x HDMI
  • 1x MicroSD card slot
  • 3x USB 3.2 Type-A (10 Gbps)
  • 1x USB Type-C

Additionally, the mini-PC has 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM running at 4,800 MHz and an M.2 2242 slot that supports up to 2 TB SSDs. By default, the mini-PC ships with no storage. However, it is also available with 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB, 1 TB or 2 TB modules. In the case of the Topton M6S, the various storage variants are priced at:

  • No storage - US$163.80
  • 128 GB - US$169.61
  • 256 GB - US$176.14
  • 512 GB - US$189.18
  • 1 TB - US$215.28
  • 2 TB - US$267.47
