Lenovo is refreshing its ThinkStation P3 Tiny lineup of SFF workstations with Intel’s 13th gen processors. Despite its fairly compact chassis measuring 7.2 x 7 x 1.5 inches (183 x 179 x 37 mm) and weighing 3 lbs (1.4 kg), the P3 Tiny workstations support up to an Intel i9-13900 CPU with 65 W TDP. However, the chassis cannot accommodate Nvidia’s latest Ada laptop-grade workstation GPUs, and Lenovo is offering only up to a T1000 with 8 GB of VRAM.
up to 64 GB of DDR5-4800 RAM. There are two M.2 PCIe 4.0 slots for a total of up to 4 TB of NVMe storage. Processor options include a wide selection, from the i3-13100/T with 4 performance cores and UHD Graphics 730 iGPU all the way up to the i9-13900/T with 8 performance cores and 16 efficiency cores and UHD Graphics 770 iGPU. The professional GPU selection includes the T400 4 GB, T1000 4 GB and the T1000 8 GB, all with DisplayPort connectors.
By default, the motherboard offers 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 (1x with charging), a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 and an audio jack in front, while the rear side comes with 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen + 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen 2, a GbE jack and HDMI + DP video outs from the iGPU. The dGPUs add up to 4x DP 1.4 ports and Lenovo also offers a wide array of optional ports through additional PCIe adapters, such as Thunderbolt 4, 2.5 GbE jack, additional video outs or USB-A ports. Wireless connectivity options offer up to Wi-Fi 6E + BT 5.1.
Pricing has not yet been revealed. The refreshed P3 Tiny models will see availability later this month with pre-installed Windows 11, but Lenovo will also offer Linux versions in July.
