Zotac ZBOX edge MI351 arrives as slim mini-PC with new Intel Alder Lake processors
Zotac has introduced the ZBOX edge MI351, a mini-PC based on Intel Alder Lake-N processors. While the new machine relies on 6 W processors, the likes of the Processor N100 and Processor N200 can boost to 25 W during demanding tasks. Hence, Zotac has included a small active cooling solution to keep the Alder Lake-N architecture in check.
Additionally, the ZBOX edge MI351 ships with 16 GB of replaceable DDR5 RAM running at 4,800 MHz. Seemingly, the motherboard only has a single SO-DIMM slot, which likely means that Zotac has soldered some of its 16 GB of RAM. Moreover, Zotac has included an easily accessible M.2 2280 slot, although it has not confirmed whether this PCIe 3.0 or PCIe 4.0 compatible yet.
For reference, the ZBOX edge MI351 measures roughly 149.86 x 149.86 x 27.94 mm. However, it still features four USB 3.2 Type-A ports, as well as DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0 and Gigabit Ethernet connections, plus 3.5 mm input and outputs. For some reason, Zotac has elected against including any USB Type-C ports, with two antenna connectors and a power connection rounding out the mini-PC's rear. Zotac has not confirmed pricing or availability yet either, but more details can be found on its website.
