ASRock refreshes iBOX silent mini PCs with Intel Raptor Lake-UE processors and adds a USB4 port
The iBOX fanless mini PC series from ASRock is getting updated with the latest Intel Raptor Lake-UE ultra low-voltage processors. Since the new CPUs are essentially a refresh for the Alder Lake models, the chassis with aluminum fins and motherboard with port selection remain unchanged from the previous generation.
Three new processor options are now available, including the i3-1315UE, i5-1345UE and i7-1365UE, which can be coupled with up to 32 GB of DDR5-4800 RAM. The storage side offers one M.2 slot with PCIe 4.0 x4 speeds and a SATA 3 slot for 2.5-inch drives.
Front port selection offers a USB4 connector with DisplayPort 2.1 mode, a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 with DP 1.4a mode, 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen 2, 2x USB 2.0 and an audio jack, while the rear side integrates two more USB-A 3.2 Gen 2, an HDMI 2.0b, a DP 1.4a, a COM connector and dual 2.5 Gbe jacks (one with Intel vPro and ATM). The audio codec is provided via Realtek’s ALC256 hi-def processor. A TPM 2.0 IC is also provided for Windows 11 compatibility. With the fins on top, the chassis has a fairly compact profile of only 5 cm and the system weighs 1.6 kg.
