OnePlus Nord Buds 2 with series-first upgrade to ANC and Bluetooth 5.3 launch worldwide
OnePlus has made the Nord Buds 2 official alongside the "Larger than Life" CE 3 Lite today (April 4, 2023). Unlike that smartphone, the new TWS earbuds are clearly supposed to be the new flagship of their line-up, with features unprecedented for accessories of their name.
Thie Buds 2 have a very similar "individualized rear cavity design" to that of their first-gen predecessors - albeit with a more premium finish in Thunder Gray (not black) or Lightning White this time around. Their distinctive shape house fairly generous 12.4mm drivers with "N52" magnets and a "titanium-coated" diaphragm, rated for "crystal clear" sound.
The Nord Buds 2 are also backed to deliver a "rumbling" low end to their audio, further boosted by a "BassWave" algorithm. However, their clear marquee feature is their upgrade to ANC - a mid-range solution capped at 25 decibels (dB). The spec is fleshed out with a Transparency mode, Dolby Atmos and Dirac Audio Tuner support.
OnePlus estimates that the Nord Buds 2 might last up to 27 hours (or 36 with ANC off) with their USB type-C charging case. They have been released to the North American, European and Indian versions of oneplus.com already, for US$59 (as opposed to US$39 for their predecessors on Amazon right now), €69 and INR 2,999 respectively, with availability in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and APAC to follow.
