OnePlus Buds Pro 2R unleashed on European market as new ANC dual-driver TWS earbuds
OnePlus has now made the Buds Pro 2R available in Europe as well as India. The accessories are a re-brand of the Light Edition for the Chinese market, and have the same specs in their new market. Therefore, despite the budget nature implied by either of their names, the peripherals boast nearly class-leading ANC of up to 48 decibels (dB).
The Buds Pro 2R also still have their dual (11mm+6mm) MelodyBoost drivers "co-created with" Dynaudio, not to mention "Hans Zimmer Soundscape Tuning". OnePlus also estimates that they might get up to 39 hours of battery life per charge, although this drops to 20 with ANC on. The Bluetooth 5.3-powered buds also support LHDC along with more standard AAC, SBC and LC3 codices.
On that note, the Buds Pro 2R lack the wireless charging and fancy Neck Health Tracking of their flagship counterparts. Accordingly, they are priced at €149 - although they are also enjoying an introductory discount of €20 (or 13% off) until September 25, 2023.
However, it seems OnePlus lost track of its own Buds Pro-series deals when setting that price. The full-fat flagship buds - which support the full set of the specs as above - are now priced at €125.30 on the same website. Then again, the 2Rs are finished in an updated Misty White colorway, as opposed to the more traditional Forest Green or Obsidian Black of the older accessories.
