OnePlus Ace 3 tipped to debut with rear camera and battery upgrades
OnePlus' sub-flagship smartphone line is getting an upgrade, according to some new leaks. This third-gen Ace might land with more of a focus on their camera performance for a change as well as a beefed-up battery.
Accordingly, the Ace 3 is thought to retain the 50MP Sony IMX890 main shooter and 8MP ultrawide-angle sensor of the 2 Pro, yet dump its macro lens for a potentially considerable 32MP upgrade. According to famous leaker Digital Chat Station, it will be the IMX709 module with 2X zoom from the OPPO Reno10 Pro.
The Ace 3 might pair this update to a new 5,500mAh battery rather than the 5,000mAh of its direct predecessor, which reached international markets as the 11R this year. The Ace 3 is said to be unchanged from the 2 Pro otherwise - although that might mean it gets a uniquely rain-resistant AMOLED display driven by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor on its possible early 2024 launch.
