OnePlus' latest Android smartphone the Ace 2 Pro is completely out of stock following its initial release in China. It has taken in the equivalent of at least US$82.8 million during the event, and took under five minutes to do so, according to the OEM's figures. The Ace 2 Pro should be back on its native market's shelves soon, though.

OnePlus has now released its new "power first" smartphone the Ace 2 Pro to the Chinese market. The OEM asserts that it took just 3 minutes for its first batch to sell out completely on its release.

The batch consisted of 200,000 units of the smartphone, although OnePlus has not disclosed how many of those would have been of its top-end 24GB RAM/1TB storage configuration. The 2 Pro starts at 2,999 yuan (US$414) for a 12/256GB base model, which suggests the OEM has already made at least over US$82 million off the new product already.

OnePlus, which has expressed its appreciation for the "support" its latest smartphone has received thus far, has announced that it will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered Ace 2 Pro back in stock on August 26, 2023. It will be interesting to see if it meets with the same amount of enthusiasm on the international market should it launch as part of the 12 series in late 2023 or early 2024 as rumored.
