OnePlus Pad Go: New tablet appears before rumoured 2024 release
According to reports, OnePlus is working towards releasing a new Android tablet, following the success of the OnePlus Pad that debuted earlier this year. Seemingly, a cheaper option is now in development, which may launch as the OnePlus Pad Go. While OnePlus has not revealed any details about said tablet yet, the company has submitted it to the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), evidence of which we have embedded below.
As the screenshot shows, OnePlus has certified model numbers OPD2304 and OPD2305, which relate to each other. Unfortunately, other details are unknown for now, although we suspect that OPD2304 and OPD2305 will be Wi-Fi only and LTE versions of the same tablet. Given that the OnePlus Pad effectively served as the Oppo Pad 2's global variant, we would not be surprised if the OnePlus Pad Go arrived as a restyled tablet from one of BBK Electronics', such as the Vivo Pad Air.
Reputedly, OnePlus is targeting a 2024 release for the Pad Go. However, it remains to be seen whether this will be a simultaneous launch globally, which is rarely the case for OnePlus devices. For example, while the company presented the OnePlus Pad in February, it waited another two months before confirming European, UK and US pricing. The OnePlus Pad did not become orderable in Europe and the UK until mid-May, though. Thus, it could take a while for the OnePlus Pad Go to certain markets even after OnePlus introduces it next year.
