OnePlus sets date for OxygenOS 14 reveal

Today (August 31, 2023), OnePlus President and COO Kinder Liu has started to formally hype OOS 14 as "the most intelligent and intuitive software product" the company has ever produced. It is touted to build on the OEM's "fast and smooth" tagline through Trinity Engine-powered performance.

This new OOS 14 feature is backed to deliver "greater synergy between hardware and software" thanks to a combination of technologies such as HyperTouch, HyperRendering and the Vitalization of RAM, CPU and ROM as well as OOS 13's HyperBoost feature. The OEM has yet to reveal any details on any further UI or feature updates thus far, however.

Then again, OnePlus has asserted that they will be revealed soon when it takes its place as "one of the first" mobile device OEMs that implement an Android 14 upgrade program from a September 25, 2023 launch.

Therefore, it might be installed out of the box on next-gen flagship devices such as the 12 and will also, of course, be the second major OOS version to have a tablet version - not to mention possibly the first to be optimized for foldables.
