Stable Android 14 rollout begins for Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro based on MIUI 14
Google has not released stable copies of Android 14 publicly yet, with Android 14 Beta 5.1 reaching enrolled devices earlier this week. Nonetheless, Xiaomi has started pushing Android 14-based builds to the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro, roughly six weeks after it opened MIUI beta for the pair and the Xiaomi 12T. Contrary to earlier rumours, Xiaomi has begun distributing Android 14 under MIUI 14 and not an interim MIUI 14.1 revision.
According to Xiaomiui, Xiaomi is readying V14.0.0.11 for the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro. However, this new build has only reached Stable Beta status so far. Thus, Xiaomi is restricting its distribution to a few devices to determine whether there are any bugs that could prevent a wider rollout. Seemingly, Xiaomi has based V14.0.0.11 on Android 14 Beta 5.1, rather than a private Android 14 stable build.
At any rate, Xiaomi has been pushing V14.0.0.4 based on Android 14 through its stable channels to both the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro. Unsurprisingly, the company has contained the rollout of Android 14 to devices enrolled on MIUI's China channel rather than releasing it globally. Either way, the appearance of Android 14-based builds this early implies that Xiaomi intends to be one of the first Android OEMs to fully release Android 14 to some of its product stack. For reference, the download links for V14.0.0.4 builds are as follows:
- Xiaomi 13 - V14.0.0.4.UMCCNXM
- Xioami 13 Pro - V14.0.0.4.UMBCNXM
