The Motorola Edge 40 Neo has appeared on Geekbench, reportedly only a few weeks before its official release. The Edge 40 Neo will be powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 1050 chipset and at least 8 GB of RAM, among other features.

The Edge 40 Neo has now surfaced on Geekbench, less than a fortnight after Amazon Italy revealed various specifications about the device. So far, only a solitary result has turned up on the benchmarking website. Thus, we would typically recommend exercising some caution when viewing a single benchmark result.

With that said, the information contained below appears to match that which Amazon Italy leaked earlier this month. Specifically, the Edge 40 Neo relies upon the MediaTek Dimensity 1050, a 6 nm SoC with two ARM Cortex-A78 CPU cores, six Cortex-A55 CPU cores and a Mali-G610 MC3 GPU. Moreover, Motorola pairs the mid-range chipset with 8 GB of RAM, although Amazon Italy confirmed that 12 GB of RAM SKUs will also be available.

Reportedly, Motorola will release the Edge 40 Neo in Europe on September 15. Unsurprisingly, Geekbench outlines that the handset will run Android 13, with Motorola's alleged launch date likely occurring before Google pushes stable Android 14 builds. In short, the Edge 40 Neo seems to be a European version of the Edge 2022 that launched last year in North America. As such, the Edge 40 Neo will feature a 144 Hz pOLED display and a 50 MP primary camera too, all for a rumoured €399 launch price.
