Xiaomi has now certified the 2312DRA50C and 23090RA98C in China, a sure sign that the company intends to release both devices soon in its home market. While the MIIT reveals various specifications for both devices, it does not link either model number to a marketing name. With that said, both have been shown previously to be members of the Redmi Note 13 family.
Based on the information contained below, both smartphones have 5G chipsets, with the Dimensity 9200 Plus rumoured to be headed to the series' flagship model. Likewise, the pair appear to be roughly the same size at 161 x 74 mm, within which Xioami includes 6.67-inch OLED displays that resolve at 2,712 x 1,220 pixels. Incidentally, 2312DRA50C is just over 1 mm thinner than 23090RA98C at 7.98 mm and 9.0 mm, respectively, mirroring the differences between the Redmi Note 12 Pro and Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus. Additionally, the pair are also more compact than the outgoing Redmi Note 12 Pro range, which roughly measure 163 x 76 x 8~8.9 mm.
Moreover, the MIIT reports that 2312DRA50C is lighter than 23090RA98C too, despite having a nominally larger battery. As the screenshots below show, Xiaomi has certified the 2312DRA50C with a 5,020 mAh battery, with 23090RA98C making do with a 4,880 mAh capacity. Still, the 23090RA98C tips the scales at nearly 204 g, 17 g more than 2312DRA50C. The inclusion of more RAM in 23090RA98C (16 GB/18 GB) than in 2312DRA50C suggests that Xiaomi will position the former as a more premium version of the latter. If that is the case, we would expect the pair to line up as the Redmi Note 13 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus when Xiaomi unveils the Redmi Note 13 series at the end of the year.
