Realme has now confirmed the Pixel 7 Pro-esque nature of its upcoming flagship Android smartphone's design. However, unlike other smartphones with a similar rear camera hump, the GT5 boasts a new version based on something called Miracle Glass developed in partnership with BYD. The device's look is also augmented with a second-gen Nothing Phone-esque Halo LED.

The GT5 has all the more hype to live up to as Realme's upcoming 5th anniversary flagship smartphone. Nevertheless, the OEM has revealed that it will have a second-gen camera visor with a transparent esthetic to showcase some of its potentially class-leading specs, a top-end Snapdragon processor, AI Cameras and NFC included.

It will also challenge the Nothing Phone (2) with an LED accent that has grown and changed in shape compared to that of the Neo5. However, unlike either older handset, the GT5's camera hump will be made using a whole new "full-coverage hot-forging glass process" developed in collaboration with BYD Electronics.

The resulting matte "Miracle Glass" is touted to revolutionize the look and feel of having a Mix Fold 3-esque camera hump. It will be interesting to see if it will make the GT5's visor any more durable than that of the Pixel 7 Pro. The GT5, previewed in Mirage Silver thus far, will debut imminently in August 2023.
