Realme GT5 and Buds Air 5 to debut in late August 2023
Realme has set a date on which it will unleash the GT5 on the Android flagship smartphone market. They will be joined by a new addition to the Buds Air 5 series, slated to share their Pro siblings' "class-leading" active noise cancellation despite possibly starting for less. The new TWS earbuds are slated to become available in India as well as China soon.
Realme will celebrate its 5th anniversary as a mobile device brand in 2023, and it has decided that there is no better way to do so than to return to the top-end Android smartphone arena in earnest. It will do so with the GT5, a smartphone widely touted to combine a Google Pixel-like rear camera visor with the most speed-oriented specs out there right now in order to live up to its product name as never before this year.
The GT5 will get its first ever launch event in China on August 28, 2023, during which the Buds Air 5 will also hit that market. They are rated for the 5 Pros' 50dB "deep-sea noise reduction 2.0" technology with a markedly broad ("ultra-wideband", in fact) 4,000Hz range, although they may drop other features such as the LDAC codec or Spatial Sound for a more affordable price-point.
Realme has elected to make the full Buds Air 5 series a 5th anniversary special in India as well, with plans to launch it on August 23, 2023 along with the 11 and 11x smartphones.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
