Realme has applied one of its newest "Mars Horizon" design languages to its latest mid-tier Narzo-series smartphones. They have been unleashed on the Indian market with up to 120Hz displays and dual rear cameras, although the most usable sensor may have been reserved for the top-end variant. The 60 Pro is also the only one of the series with a whopping 1TB internal storage SKU.

Realme has executed a successful launch that upgrades the typically affordable Narzo series of smartphones with a design from at least 1 tier higher today (July 6, 2023). The Narzo 60 and 60 Pro do indeed have new concentric disk-style camera humps for rear panels finished in either Mars Orange vegan leather or Cosmic Black glass with an interesting new 'meteor shower' effect.

Despite these identical color options, the 2 new smartphones have markedly different displays, each coming with their own advantages and drawbacks. While the 60 Pro avoids the lack of symmetry caused by an obtrusive chin in the vanilla 60's flat panel, it has curved edges as potentially distracting as its centrally-mounted (albeit tiny) punch-hole selfie camera.

Then again, the 60 Pro's 6.7-inch screen has a 120Hz refresh rate, whereas the 60's 6.43-inch panel is stuck at 90Hz. They are driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 and 6020 chipsets respectively, which promise a "fluid" UX (powered by an up-to-date Realme UI 4 interface based on Android 13) that might make up for their faux-refresh nature.

The 60 series' new camera housing compounds the 11-series comparisons by seeming to camuflage 3 lenses in a row on first look - however, 1 of them is purely cosmetic, leaving both as dual-shooter smartphones.

The 60 Pro gets a "100MP OIS ProLight" sensor as a main camera, whereas the 60 makes do with an all-too-familiar "64MP Street Photography" module; furthermore, the secondary camera is a 2MP depth-sensor in both cases.

The 2023 Narzo line-up might make up for that by starting at just INR 19,999 (~US$243, with introductory discounts on their new Amazon.in pages) for a 60 with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

Alternatively, an investment of INR 32,999 (~US$400, with savings of about INR 3,000 (~US$37) already) gets the buyer the 60 Pro's top-end SKU with 1TB of internal storage to go with its 12GB of RAM.
