Nothing will officially launch the Phone (2) on July 11. In the meantime, the company has shared numerous teasers on its social media channels, while leakers such as Kamila Wojciechowska have revealed camera and display specifications, as well as various official promotional images. Subsequently, the likes of GSMArena have discovered Phone (2) Geekbench listings, some of which we have embedded below.
To recap, the Phone (2) was first seen on the benchmarking database almost two months ago as "Nothing A065". Incidentally, a recent Nothing teaser image confirmed that "A065" is the Phone (2)'s model number, which it prints on the device's back panel. However, these new Geekbench listings relate to "AIN065", a different model number from those that surfaced previously. Potentially, "AIN065" could be an Indian-specific model; Nothing has already stated that it intends to sell the Phone (2) in India.
With that being said, there is no Indian-specific version of the Phone (1). Either way, Geekbench outlines that "AIN065" combines 12 GB of RAM with a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset. As always, the website does not refer to the chipset by its marketing name. Instead, this can be inferred from the chipset's identifier, "ARM implementer 65 architecture 8 variant 2 part 3400 revision 0", which is consistent across other devices equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1. The same listings all but confirm that Nothing OS 2.0 will rely on Android 13 as its base, not the newer Android 14, which remains in beta.
