OnePlus Nord 3 5G launches with up to 16GB of RAM and early-bird offers
OnePlus has finally revealed its new Nord 3 for the mid-range Android market in full, confirming it as an Ace 2V with a (potentially significantly improved) 50MP OIS-enhanced main camera. There is an ultra-wide angle camera alongside a tertiary macro shooter - however, the former has been "cut" to 112˚, which, apparently, helps with "weird warping and distortion".
The OEM also now reassures its fans that it has "said “bye-bye” to the funky plastic screen frame" of the Nord 3's predecessors to give it a "seamless, flat" 6.74-inch Super Fluid (40-120Hz) AMOLED display. The Dimensity 9000 platform also found in the OnePlus Pad is kept cool with 4129.8mm2 "VC Cooling System" with extra added "high-performance graphite technology".
The OEM has unleashed this new smartphone with RAM-Vita optimizations for its up-to-16GB spec, supported by the latest version of OxygenOS based on Android 13. Its "5,000mAh equivalent" battery has 80W SuperVOOC Endurance Edition charging for "a day's power in just 15 minutes".
The new Nord is now available to pre-order in Europe from now, as part of a promo that offers the top-end 16GB/256GB model at €50 (~US$54) off its full €549 (~US$596) price until July 31, 2023. That deal comes with potential extras such as freebies that might include the Nord Buds 2 as well as an mini Instax printer.
Alternatively, the Nord 3 is available with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, priced at €449 (~US$488) with similar pre-order gifts and bundles on (most of) OnePlus' EU websites. The new smartphone is also listed on oneplus.in or amazon.in, priced at INR 33,999 to 37,999 (~US$413-461), although its pre-sales will open on July 15, 2023 in that case.
