OnLeaks and SmartPrix have collaborated to deliver OnePlus Fold renders, which may eventually launch as the OnePlus V Fold. At any rate, the first OnePlus foldable will not resemble either of Oppo's Find N smartphones, despite sharing a common BBK Electronics lineage. Instead, the Pixel Fold is the closest to the form factor of the Find N or Find N2, albeit with a slightly taller and wider chassis than either of Oppo's foldables.
While OnLeaks has not provided dimensions, the OnePlus Fold will be closer in size to large foldables like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4, Vivo X Fold2 and the Huawei Mate X3 rather than the Oppo Find N2. Thus, the OnePlus Fold is likely to be compared against next month's Galaxy Z Fold5. However, OnLeaks' renders imply that the OnePlus Fold is thinner than the Galaxy Z Fold5. Curiously, OnLeaks has not rendered a power button, but it is expected to also feature a built-in fingerprint sensor. The OnePlus Fold will retain the company's alert slider too, even with its thin chassis.
There are a few unusual decisions though, which is typical of first-generation products. For example, OnePlus has tucked the device's LED flash in the top left-hand corner of its back panel, despite having enough space in its large camera housing. Incidentally, the latter resembles the equivalent in the Xiaomi 13 Ultra but with three lenses and huge Hasselblad branding. Also, the OnePlus Fold has a top-left mounted internal front-facing camera, which could easily be obscured when holding the device in a few ways. OnePlus will announce the OnePlus Fold globally in the second half of the year. Specifications have not leaked yet, although the handset will probably combine a flagship Qualcomm chipset with a large battery and 120 Hz displays.
