OnePlus Open: New leaks reveal more details of OnePlus's imminent foldable
It's no secret at this point that OnePlus is gearing up for the launch of its first foldable smartphone. The foldable in question, now widely accepted to be branded as the OnePlus Open, is set to debut next month and a new leak has now revealed more information than ever before.
As revealed by leaker Max Jambor, the OnePlus Open will debut on August 29. Unlike the upcoming Xiaomi Mix Fold 3, the OnePlus Open will be sold globally, in markets including the US. Presumably, the touted August 29 date is for the global release. It's expected to launch as the OPPO Find N3 in China. Seeing as the OnePlus Open looks to be essentially a global model of the OPPO Find N3, it's no surprise that it shares traits with the OPPO Find N2, with the source claiming an identical aspect ratio.
Supposedly, the OnePlus Open will be available in at least two color options: Green and Black. Not much is known about its hardware but it's said to sport a 3x periscope zoom lens, housed within a huge camera module. Thickness is tipped at around 11mm, with the foldable touted to run on Oxygen OS 13.2 Fold. Pricing information remains elusive but there's a chance the OnePlus Open launches with an MSRP around or below £1500.
