OnePlus Fold: Galaxy Z Fold5 and Pixel Fold rivalling specifications leak before rumoured August launch
MySmartPrice and @OnLeaks have revealed numerous specifications for the OnePlus Fold, just over a week after the latter showcased CAD-based renders of the unreleased foldable. If the alleged specifications are correct, it would see OnePlus' first foldable going toe-to-toe with the Galaxy Z Fold5, which Samsung is due to announce at the end of July alongside the Galaxy Z Flip5. The OnePlus Fold will also rival the Pixel Fold, although the former will be noticeably larger than the latter.
According to MySmartPrice and @OnLeaks, the OnePlus Fold has a 6.3-inch cover display. While the pair have not disclosed the display's native resolution, it will be an AMOLED panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the OnePlus Fold will have a 7.8-inch foldable display, again an AMOLED panel, that resolves at 2K and 120 Hz. Based on the renders published so far, both displays will have punch-hole cameras, with a 32 MP camera intersecting the cover display and a 20 MP equivalent beneath the device's foldable display.
Purportedly, the OnePlus Fold will power these displays with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and a 4,800 mAh battery that supports 67 W wired charging. OnePlus is said to have complemented the flagship chipset with 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage too, which would be 4 GB more RAM than the Galaxy Z Fold4 or Pixel Fold has. Furthermore, MySmartPrice and @OnLeaks report that the OnePlus Fold has 48 MP primary and ultra-wide-angle cameras, as well as a 64 MP periscope telephoto camera. Pricing has not leaked yet, but MySmartPrice states that OnePlus will announce its first foldable in August.
