Vivo X90s launch date and new mint green colour option revealed
Vivo has now confirmed the launch date for the X90s, seemingly the only model in its mid-cycle X90 series refresh. Previously, a Vivo executive shared a hands-on photo with an X90s production unit on Weibo in which its retail packaging is also visible. The Vivo X90s was joined by the iQOO 11S, another future flagship smartphone.
As the images below show, Vivo plans to fully unveil the X90s on June 26 at 14:30 China Standard Time (CST), equivalent to 06:30 UTC. The company has also revealed a new mint green colourway, which will be available alongside the white edition that Vivo had already presented. Currently, it is unclear whether these are the X90s' sole launch colours. While one official image shows four colourways, we have not seen black or red versions shown elsewhere in Vivo's promotional imagery.
The X90s should sit above the X90 in Vivo's product stack thanks to its newer Dimensity 9200+ chipset. According to MediaTek, the Dimensity 9200+ offers higher CPU and GPU clocks than the Dimensity 9200 that powers the X90. Allegedly, the former is between 10% and 35% more power efficient too. Reportedly, Vivo will complement the Dimensity 9200+ with a 4,810 mAh battery that supports 120 W wired charging and a 6.78-inch AMOLED display, along with the same cameras as those in the current Vivo X90.
