Leaker reveals launch colours and official wallpapers for Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro
While Google is not expected to release the Pixel 8 series until the autumn, Kamila Wojciechowska has already got her hands on official wallpapers. According to the leaker, Google has commissioned Andrew Zuckerman again for its latest round of Pixel wallpapers, who created the flower and feather wallpapers for the Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 series. This time, Google has turned to 'Minerals', with an additional colour added compared to last year's Pixel 7 models.
Supposedly, Google will offer the Pixel 8 in Haze, Jade, Licorice and Peony colour options. For reference, the actual colours are hidden behind these close-up shots of minerals. Incidentally, Licorice returns after debuting with the Pixel 7. Licorice will be available on the Pixel 8 Pro as well, rather than its predecessor's Obsidian colourway.
Additionally, the leaked wallpapers suggest that the Pixel 8 Pro will also come in Jade, Porcelain and Sky finishes. As usual, Google will pre-install light and dark versions of these wallpapers, a mix of which we have included below. Wojciechowska's new leak arrives only a day after the leaker revealed display specifications for the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. The same leaker outlined camera and chipset information for the pair earlier this month too.
