Vivo X90s officially confirmed ahead of release
A Vivo executive has acknowledged the existence of the Vivo X90s, the fourth member of the Vivo X90 series after the Vivo X90, Vivo X90 Pro and Vivo X90 Pro Plus. A release date remains unknown for now, as does availability outside China. However, the executive has revealed what the X90s looks like, with Vivo retaining the design language of other X90 series models.
Hence, the X90s has a circular camera housing, within which sit four lenses. Vivo also continues to flank the camera housing with 'Xtreme Imagination' branding, as well as a Zeiss logo, camera information and an LED flash array. Additionally, Vivo is expected to offer the X90s with 12 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 256 GB of UFS 4.0 flash storage. Vivo sells 512 GB variants of other X90 series models though, so we would not be surprised if this is also true of the X90s.
Currently, Vivo is rumoured to have distinguished the X90s from the X90 with a newer SoC. As the screenshot below shows, the X90s is anticipated to rely on the Dimensity 9200+, which MediaTek announced last month. In short, the Dimensity 9200+ has overclocked ARM Cortex-X3 and Cortex-A715 CPU cores, among other performance and efficiency changes. Please see our launch article for more details.
