RedMagic Gaming Tablet: New gaming tablet debuts in China with powerful hardware combination
Nubia has unveiled its first gaming tablet under its RedMagic sub-brand. As expected, the tablet features the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, which Nubia complements with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 flash storage. According to the manufacturer, it has also included a huge cooling system that should reduce device temperatures by up to 5°C under sustained load.
Additionally, the RedMagic Gaming Tablet has a 12.1-inch IPS display that resolves at 2,560 x 1,600 pixels in a 16:10 aspect ratio. The display can operate at a 144 Hz refresh rate too, with 600 nits peak brightness and a 240 Hz touch sampling rate on offer as well. Nubia rounds the tablet off with a 10,000 mAh battery, which can fully recharge in a mere 55 minutes thanks to 80 W wired charging.
Moreover, the RedMagic Gaming Tablet has 16 MP front-facing and 13 MP rear-facing cameras, four speakers and an optional keyboard case, among other accessories. For reference, the tablet weighs 613 g and tapers to a minimum thickness of 6.5 mm. Nubia has not confirmed global availability yet, but the RedMagic Gaming Tablet is available at the following prices in China:
