RedMagic Cyberbuds DAO hit international markets with ANC, LHDC 5.0 and RGB
RedMagic hinted that its latest audio accessories were coming for the Nothing ear (2) buds with their original Chinese announcement, and has now made it very clear that that is indeed the case with a global launch for the Cyberbuds DAO.
Unlike the 8S Pro, the buds have only 1 colorway: Transparent, which puts the internals of their AirPod-like stems on show (or seems to, at least) through a clear housing. The earbuds' light-up DAO logos, which can be tuned through an RGB spectrum via app controls, are also on display here.
The new earbuds upgrade to Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, rated to bring the DAOs' latency down as low as 28 milliseconds - however, that feature might require a paired device as new as an 8S Pro with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (Leading Edition), for full compatibility with the top-end Qualcomm S5 audio SoC and new S3 Gen 2 Sound Platform that powers the buds.
The Cyberbuds DAO have drivers of 11mm in size - however, their dynamic nature and equally cutting-edge wool/paper "bio-diaphragms" are backed to deliver "ultimate performance" when using the buds. There is also ANC, augmented with adaptive "AI Active Noise Reduction" features for up to 48dB of sonic isolation.
That potential for "desktop"-grade TWS audio come packed into a "futuristic" metallic case with a distinctive swivelling glass lid and dongle functionality for non-Bluetooth devices. All of that does not come cheap, however: the RedMagic Cyberbuds DAO are now priced at US$229/€299 and can be ordered from August 2, 2023.
