RedMagic's latest promotional material may seem to be for a device that could make the world's sleekest, helmet-like VR/AR headset; however, the Nubia brand has also made it clear that the render just serves to represent its next top-end Android handsets.
Having been teased as the 9 Pro series, it seems they will yet again eschew the release of a vanilla variant and proceed directly to the release of direct 8 Pro and Pro Plus successors. Their leaks to date hint strongly at the prospect of powerhouse devices with cutting-edge specs such as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 flagship-grade platform.
Then again, that would hardly be surprising in heirs to devices replete with signature RGB fan-adorned esthetics, although the 9 Pro series is backed to stand out by striving to "go beyond e-sports" in this generation.
Then again, RedMagic fans might be disappointed if they fail to build on the 8 Pro-series' UDC display technology, not to mention the new 24GB RAM spec of their mid-2022 refresh, from their November 23, 2023 debut in China.
