RedMagic 9 Pro surfaces with top scores on AnTuTu Benchmark ahead of launch
RedMagic very nearly got to its next major product event without the main event leaking onto AnTuTu Benchmark. However, a device with a model number linked to one of the upcoming 9 Pro series has made it onto that database after all, achieving a top-ranking score in the process. That might have been due to its top-end specs, the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor included.
RedMagic is already touting its 9 Pro series as the most stylish crop of smartphones it have ever produced, even though they have little time left before their official debut. However, according to a new leak, they will be as powerful as they are "ultra-futuristic".
The AnTuTu group has reported the arrival of a device under the RedMagic model number that has also popped up in a previous Geekbench leak hinting at the existence of the 9 Pro series - albeit with roughly double the specs this time.
Its 24GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage has helped it eclipse its previous benchmarking tip with a class-leading score of 2,290,773 - even more than that associated with the "Realme GT5 Pro" with the same 8 Gen 3 platform.
The new leak might also confirm that the 9 Pro - or possibly Pro Plus - will launch with a new RedMagic OS version based on Android 14.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
