Rumor | RedMagic 9 Pro sneaks onto Geekbench with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Android 14
Nubia's high-end gaming smartphone brand RedMagic is already working on its next-gen flagship, according to a new leak. It paints the "9 Pro" as a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered device, despite the fact that the Qualcomm processor has yet to take over from its predecessor.
The new rumor is based on the discovery of the "nubia NX769J" lurking about on the Geekbench database - albeit that of the slightly outmoded 5.4.1 version. Nevertheless, the test can still apparently detect the alleged hallmarks of the upcoming 8 Gen 3, core layout and new code-name (pineapple) included.
On that note, it seems RedMagic has secured the 'standard' version of the 8 Gen 3 without the 4th cluster now linked to the Samsung Galaxy S24 series for the 9 Pro. Nevertheless, the putative next-gen flagship achieves a sky-high multi-core score of 5977 with its 3.19GHz top clock.
The 9 Pro is also depicted with a world-first RedMagic OS based on Android 14, and as having 12GB of RAM despite the new 24GB upgrade of the 8S Pro (Chinese edition).
