The rumored display upgrade of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will allegedly come with narrow bezels that would result in a screen-to-body ratio of 88%. This figure would be the lowest of a Samsung flagship handset since the arrival of the Galaxy S10, which launched in early March 2019.

Although is rumored that no charging or battery improvements are in the cards for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, it seems that a lighter titanium case will be used for this flagship, which could also feature an upgraded display. The previous display-related leak mentioned the M13 OLED material set with a brightness level of around 2,000 nits. Now, popular leakster Ice universe reveals the front design of the upcoming handset.

"According to the available data, the width of the S24 Ultra bezel (middle frame bezel + screen bezel) has broken a new record, reaching 3.42mm, which is about the same as the Galaxy A54.

Left: 3.42mm, Right: 3.42mm. Top: 3.0mm. Bottom 3.0mm (if symmetrical)," posted Ice universe on X / Twitter.

Based on the data mentioned in the leak above, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra would have a screen-to-body ratio of 88%. This figure is the lowest of a Samsung flagship device since the Galaxy S10

The feedback to the aforementioned leak is mixed, some comparing Galaxy S24 Ultra to Apple's upcoming flagships which are expected to feature much thinner bezels, while others are happy that Samsung might drop the curved glass.

Last but not the least, there are also those who, as usual, claim that the upcoming flagship lineup will be "an amazing shocking surprise with huge upgrades" or a major flop that could spell the end of Samsung Mobile. Obviously, if the Galaxy Note7 fiasco didn't end Samsung Mobile, it's highly unlikely that a lackluster Galaxy S24 could do that much damage.
