Samsung Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ to feature thinner bezels; no battery upgrade in store for the Galaxy S24 Ultra ↺
Even though the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra are still months away from launch, leaks about the upcoming flagships have begun trickling in. The Ultra version is tipped to get massive upgrades, such as a Titanium body. On the other hand, the ones on the others will not be nearly as impressive, as spotted by Ice Universe.
Both the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ will feature narrower bezels compared to the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+. It may be good for aesthetics, but the real problem still lies inside. A recent Geekbench listing confirmed the Galaxy S24+ would still start with 8 GB of system memory, effectively contradicting an earlier leak that said otherwise. Nonetheless, the display is slated to be a bit more power efficient, allowing users to squeeze out more battery life.
Nashville Chatter found that the Galaxy S24+ will pack a 4,900 mAh battery, while the Galaxy S24 Ultra ups that to 5,000 mAh. While the former is a tad larger than its predecessor, the most expensive device of the lot doesn't get the same treatment. That said, the Galaxy S24 Ultra could revolutionize smartphone batteries with its stacked design. Unfortunately, Ice Universe adds it will still use the same design as the Galaxy S23 Ultra. More information about its cameras (and other specs) should emerge in the coming weeks.
