Samsung will finally let users configure the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ with up to 12 GB RAM. Both phones will use a modified version of Samsung's M11 AMOLED panel. Domestic (South Korean) variants could even ship with an Exynos 2400 SoC.

A recent leak put into question the Galaxy Plus-branded phones' existence, tacitly implying FE-branded phones would replace it. However, the Galaxy S24+ still seems to be on the cards because Twitter leaker @tech_reve has dropped new information about Samsung's 2024-bound flagships.

For starters, the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ will get a much-needed memory upgrade. One can now configure both phones with up to 12 GB of RAM, although it is unknown if their base variants will come with that much. The Galaxy S24 Ultra, like its predecessors, will max out at 16 GB of system memory.

On the display front, the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ will use a brighter, more power-efficient version of Samsung's M11 AMOLED panel. It tacitly confirms they could be stuck at 1080p in an era when 1200p is the norm, especially with high-end smartphones from Chinese OEMs such as Oppo, Vivo and Xiaomi.

A previous leak said the 50 MP ISOCELL GN3 camera sensor would continue to power the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+. However, it will be scrapped next year with the Galaxy S25 series. Similarly, Samsung has a 1-inch sensor in the pipeline, but it'll be a while before it finds itself in any Galaxy-branded flagship.

Lastly, the leaker doubles down on their previous assertion about the Exynos 2400 coming back with the Galaxy S24 GPU. The AP will feature a 10-core CPU (1x Cortex-X4, 2x Cortex-A720, 3x Cortex-A720 and 4x Cortex-A520) and a 10-core RDNA2 GPU with 6 WGPs (12 CUs). It is manufactured on Samsung's 4LPP node, which Samsung claims has fully caught up with its TSMC counterpart. This should put it on equal footing with the N4P-based Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Dimensity 9300.
