Xiaomi has unveiled the Xiaomi 13 Ultra globally, as well as in China. As expected, the company's new Ultra smartphone takes the Xiaomi 13 Pro and tweaks it with improved camera hardware and a different design, among other changes. It is worth noting that while Xiaomi has unveiled the Xiaomi 13 Ultra in multiple colours within China, only its Black and Olive Green colourways will be available globally.
Additionally, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will peak at 90 W fast charging, not 120 W like the Xiaomi 13 Pro. 50 W wireless charging remains though, as does reverse wireless charging. The Xiaomi 13 Ultra has a nominally larger battery capacity than its Pro sibling too, which grows from 4,820 mAh to 5,000 mAh. Also, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra debuts an updated version of the company's Surge Battery management system and a new hibernation mode.

Moreover, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 flash storage. Furthermore, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra has a 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED display like the Pro, which also operates at 1440p with a 1-120 Hz refresh rate. However, the new TCL C7 panel peaks at 2,600 nits, or 1,300 nits in high brightness mode.
Arguably, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra sets itself apart from the Xiaomi 13 Pro with its camera hardware. As the image below shows, Xiaomi's latest flagship features 12 mm, 23 mm, 75 mm and 120 mm focal length equivalent cameras. According to Xiaomi, all but the Ultra's ultra-wide-angle camera are optically stabilised. Unsurprisingly, Xiaomi has returned to the Sony IMX989 for a third time, which it has complemented with three Sony IMX858 sensors.
Xiaomi has not confirmed pricing outside China yet. Nonetheless, the company has revealed that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will start at CNY 5,999 (~US$872) with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. In comparison, the Xiaomi 13 Pro is available from CNY 4,999 (~US$727). Full Xiaomi 13 Ultra pricing in China is as follows:
- 12 GB RAM/256 GB storage - CNY 5,999 (~US$872)
- 16 GB RAM/512 GB storage - CNY 6,499 (~US$945)
- 16 GB RAM/1 TB storage - CNY 7,299 (~US$1,061)
