POCO F5 Pro to launch with unexpected battery downgrade compared to Xiaomi Redmi K60
The POCO F5 series is rumoured to be only a few weeks away, with a late April release apparently in the frame. Recently, the FCC revealed photos of the POCO F5 and POCO F5 Pro, effectively confirming that they are re-branded Redmi Note 12 Turbo and Redmi K60 models, respectively. However, it appears that the POCO F5 Pro will have a lower battery capacity than its Chinese counterpart.
According to Xiaomiui, the FCC certified the POCO F5 Pro with a battery that has 5,060 mAh rated and 5,160 mAh typical battery capacities. In comparison, the Redmi K60 has a 5,500 mAh battery. While this may be disappointing, Xiaomi occasionally equips global smartphone models with slightly different hardware than their Chinese siblings.
For example, the Xiaomi 13 Lite has 8 MP ultra-wide-angle and 8 MP secondary front-facing cameras, compared to 20 MP ultra-wide-angle and 32 MP front-facing equivalents in the CIVI 2. The POCO F5 Pro is still expected to feature a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset though, along with a 1440p display, a 64 MP primary camera and 67 W fast charging.
