Poco F5 appears on Geekbench 6 with a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 ahead of launch
Rumors of the Poco F5 and Poco F5 Pro have floated around the grapevine for weeks. The Poco F5, at least, is widely reported to be a rebadge of the Redmi Note 12 Turbo that debuted last month, and has now made an appearance on Geekbench, with details corroborating those rumors.
Shared by popular tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore, the vanilla Poco P5 seems to have made a trip over to Geekbench, bearing the model number "23049PCD8I", with the "I" at the end indicating it's an Indian model of the phone. The motherboard is reported with an ID of "marblein"—that and the listed core configuration all but confirming that the Poco F5 will be powered by Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2.
Sadly, though, the Poco F5 fails to cover itself in glory, performance-wise. It only manages a score of 1118 on Geekbench 6's single-core test, and 4236 in the multi-core one. In comparison, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 has been tested on the same benchmark with scores of 1656 and 4482 respectively. Of course, it has to be pointed out that the Poco F5 benchmarked here is likely a test unit with software handicaps.
