Xiaomiui claims to have spotted the POCO F5 on an IMEI database. Reportedly, Xiaomi has already started serial production of POCO F5 units in Europe and Eurasia, often a sign of an imminent launch. The POCO F5 GT should join the POCO F5 at some stage, although the former may just be a re-branded Redmi K60 Gaming Edition.
As the image below shows, the device carries the model number 23049PCD8G, with its 'G' suffix denoting that it is a global model. Incidentally, the same website previously stated that the POCO F5 would be 23013PC75G, which has since passed through the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the US. By contrast, the likes of MySmartPrice asserted that the model number corresponded to the POCO F5 Pro. Regardless, both 23049PCD8G and 23013PC75G appear to POCO F5 series handsets, for what it is worth.
Moreover, the model number '23049PCD8G' was seen earlier this month as the POCO X5 GT. Xiaomiui now states that this was false, though. Instead, the website is firm in its new belief that Xiaomi has assigned '23049PCD8G' to the POCO F5, which it has also codenamed 'marble', not 'mondrian'. As such, the POCO F5 will be a re-branded Redmi Note 12 Turbo with a Snapdragon SM7475 chipset, likely the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 1 or the Snapdragon 7 Gen 2. If that is the case, then the POCO F5 will support 67 W fast charging too, as well as an in-display fingerprint scanner and a 120 Hz panel. A release date has not emerged yet, although the device's model number suggests that Xiaomi is targeting an April release.
