Xiaomi has certified a member of the POCO F5 series with the FCC, indicating its intentions to sell the device in North America. Seemingly the POCO F5 or POCO F5 Pro, the device will be available with up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, plus an unnamed Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. The 23013PC75G will not feature Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, though.

The FCC has published documentation for 23013PC75G, another unreleased Xiaomi smartphone. Based on the documentation published so far, Xiaomi will release the 23013PC75G under its POCO brand, but its marketing name remains unknown at this stage. The FCC has outlined other specifications about the forthcoming device, though.

According to several IMEI database results, the 23013PC75G is part of the POCO F5 series. However, the jury is still out as to whether 23013PC75G relates to the POCO F5 or POCO F5 Pro. While MySmartPrice has shown a result linking 23013PC75G to the POCO F5 Pro, IMEI checkers all return 23013PC75G as the POCO F5. Incidentally, Xiaomiui suggested a few months ago that the latter would be the case. Regardless, the FCC reports that the 23013PC75G runs MIUI 14, has two SIM slots and supports dual-SIM standby.

Additionally, the regulatory body states that Xiaomi has created two memory configurations, with 8 GB of RAM mated to 128 GB of storage and 12 GB of RAM to be offered with 256 GB of storage. Typically, Xiaomi does not include expandable storage in high-end POCO smartphones, such as last year's POCO F4. Moreover, the FCC implies that the 23013PC75G will be available with the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC at best.

Despite not mentioning the chipset by name, it outlines that the 23013PC75G supports Smart Transmit Gen 2, a technology that Qualcomm replaced with Smart Transmit Gen 3 for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Still, the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 should provide a handy performance boost over the Snapdragon 870 in the POCO F4. Unfortunately, it is unclear when Xiaomi will announce the POCO F5 series, although there are signs that the POCO X5 series could be on the horizon.
