Alleged Poco F5 Pro specs leak with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and 64 MP camera on the cards
From all available information, Xiaomi's sub-brand, Poco, is readying the Poco F5 for launch in the coming months. Details of that phone have leaked over the past few weeks, and it now appears it may be joined by a more expensive sibling, the Poco F5 Pro.
According to leaker Yogesh Brar, the Poco F5 Pro is set to arrive, and will do so sporting a 6.67-inch 2K 120 Hz OLED. Under the hood will be last year's Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, still as capable as ever, and joined by up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
Camera-wise, the Poco F5 Pro is said to be equipped with a 64 MP main camera. 50 MP sensors dominate the market these days, so it'd be an interesting choice. Supposedly, it's not a Sony CMOS sensor either, which would make one of Omnivision's OV64 series sensors the likeliest candidate. Either way, the 64 MP main camera is said to be joined by an 8 MP ultra-wide shooter, a 2 MP macro camera, and a 16 MP selfie snapper. No zoom lenses on board, it seems.
Other touted specs of the Poco F5 Pro include Android 13-based MIUI 14, 67 W charging, and a 5500 mAh battery. A late April release looks to be on the cards.
