Samsung Galaxy Buds3 reportedly "coming soon" with Galaxy Buds2 Live seemingly canceled
Reports from a few months ago claimed Samsung was preparing its second-gen Galaxy Buds Live earbuds for release later this year. Those rumors have petered out since then, however, with a new leak now claiming that Samsung has shelved all plans for the release of the Galaxy Buds2 Live.
According to leaker Chunvn888, Samsung has completely ditched the bean-style design, effectively signaling the death of the Galaxy Buds Live series after just one iteration. The Buds Live debuted in 2020 equipped with ANC and an MSRP of US$169 that positioned them above the first-gen Galaxy Buds and the subsequent Galaxy Buds Plus. It seems the Buds Live will go down as Samsung's only attempt at that form factor, however.
Instead of the Galaxy Buds2 Live, though, the same source confirms Samsung is readying the Galaxy Buds3 for imminent release. The Buds2 and Buds2 Pro debuted in August 2021 and 2022 respectively, so it's likely the Galaxy Buds3 launch at the same time this year, alongside the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5.
Not much is known about the hardware of the Galaxy Buds3 but the leaker tips them to be identical to the Galaxy Buds2 Pro. Fans can expect the Buds3 to be much cheaper than the US$229 Buds2 Pro, though, as the Buds2 launched with a US$149 MSRP. Speaking of Samsung's Pro earbuds, Chunvn888 also anticipates the Galaxy Buds3 Pro to arrive next year.
Apparently the bean design has been dropped so yeah, no Live
