Samsung has released new updates for the Galaxy Buds2 Pro, Galaxy Watch5 and Galaxy Watch5 Pro. Not yet available to the Galaxy Watch4 or Galaxy Watch4 Classic, the updates bring previously promised features, plus a new device diagnostics tool for the Galaxy Buds2 Pro and Galaxy Watch5 series.

Samsung has released new updates for many of its new wearables. As we discussed last week, Samsung outlined that the Galaxy Buds2 Pro would soon support 360 Audio Recording, a feature that uses all the earbuds' microphones to capture a richer audio experience than a smartphone can. According to Samsung's changelog, it restricts the feature to the Samsung Camera app on Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4 models running at least One UI 5.0 for now. For reference, the two foldables should have already received an equivalent feature to enable 360 Audio Recording processing.

Additionally, Samsung has pushed new Camera Controller functionality to the Galaxy Watch5 and Galaxy Watch5 Pro. As expected, Samsung now allows people to change zoom levels within the Camera Controller app by pinching a compatible smartwatch's screen in and out or rotating its bezel. For some reason, Samsung has not brought this feature to the Galaxy Watch4 series yet, although it should do so within the next few days. Moreover, Samsung has introduced a new feature to the Galaxy Buds2 Pro and Galaxy Watch5 series that it elected against mentioning last week.

Based on the pair's changelogs, Samsung has added a 'Connected device diagnostics' option within Samsung Members that can check whether multiple aspects of the Galaxy Buds2 Pro or Galaxy Watch5 series are working correctly. Supposedly, the feature can check battery status and touchscreen functionality, among other aspects on the Galaxy Watch5 series, as well as the touch sensor and charging functionality on the Galaxy Buds2 Pro. Furthermore, you must update the Galaxy Wearable and Samsung Members apps to see the new 'Connected device diagnostics' option. This month's new builds should be available to download now as over-the-air (OTA) updates, with XXU1AWA3 for the Galaxy Watch5 series and R510XXU0AWA5 for the Galaxy Buds2 Pro.
