Majority touts its new Tru Bio product as a particularly sustainable example of wireless earbuds as they (their case included) are made with "eco-biodegradable" materials. They are also rated to deliver quality audio via large drivers (also compostable) and hardware that supports up-to-date Bluetooth connectivity (less so). The Tru Bio buds have an estimated 30 hours of battery life and charge back up with USB type-C.

Majority is a UK company that aims to become "the first carbon-neutral audio brand" through initiatives such as its ~435,000 tree-planting program in partnership with Ecologi. Its latest launch for accessories follows that corporate line with an "eco-biodegradable" build finished in a choice of 3 pastel shades.

Therefore, the Bluetooth 5.3 Tru Bio earbuds might be for those put off these products by the idea that one or more of these barely repairable earphones will just end up in landfill. Even their 13mm "bio-cellulose" drivers are made from "certified compostable plastic" and may, thus, have a better than average shot of being renewed some day.

These recycling-friendly, popcorn-style buds are found in a "lipstick-sized" charging case for a total package weighing 48.3g and available via Amazon.co.uk or majority.co.uk for £34.95 (~US$42) only for now.

Given their price and USP, the absence of features such as ANC or spatial audio can be perhaps seen coming. Then again, the Tru Bio buds do integrate control buttons, a mic and USB type-C charging, at least.
