OnePlus Buds Pro 2 released globally with Bluetooth LE Audio support arriving later this year ↺
OnePlus has now released the Buds 2 Pro globally, having introduced the premium earbuds last month in China. To recap, the Buds 2 Pro promises up to 9 hours of continuous listening with ANC switched off. By contrast, enabling ANC drops battery life to 6 hours. For reference, the bundling charging case should provide at least three full charges, which combines to create 39 hours of total battery life with ANC on and 25 hours with ANC off.
Additionally, OnePlus claims that the Buds 2 Pro offers up to 48 dB of ANC with a 4 kHz frequency range. Meanwhile, the earbuds support Google Fast Pair, as well as the LC3 and LHDC codecs over Bluetooth 5.3. Purportedly, the earbuds deliver 54 ms of latency, albeit only when paired with a OnePlus 11. OnePlus adds that Bluetooth LE Audio support will arrive later this year via an OTA update, which may reduce latency somewhat.
Furthermore, each earbud has an 11 mm woofer and a 6 mm tweeter, which combine to deliver 10 mW of power and a 10 Hz~40 kHz frequency response. OnePlus even claims that Hans Zimmer has tuned the soundscape of the Buds Pro 2, which appears to be the first tie-in of its kind. The OnePlus Buds Pro 2 is available to order now in Eternal Green and Titan Black colourways for US$179. Alternatively, the earbuds can be picked up for free if you pre-order the OnePlus 11 in the Eurozone or the UK.
